Artist's Comments

The second card featuring Hergé's Tintin and Snowy. This was more difficult to draw, I'd had the idea for the first card quite some time and was able to capture it fairly successfully. It was after listening to Sinéad O'Connor's rendition of 'Silent Night' that I found the subject. There's a mixture of sources - photographs, cloud studies (it's the sky that makes this picture) and a few sketches. This image goes even further down the 'twee' route but I don't think it's any the worse for that.

Coloured pencil on textured card, 150 x 150 mm.

Wow, thats really good. I haven't seen Tintin in ages, I used to watch it when I was younger, brings back memories. I really love the colourful sky though :3

Cheers! I hadn't used coloured pencils for a long time so it was nice to rediscover them. Very pretty sky, I think.

Dunno if I've done it all ready, but it shall be done! I'm a huuuuuuuuuuged Tintin fan! I have some of my own piccies of him in my gallery, my fave being the one where I changed his hairstyle completely (I know, blasphemy and sacrilidge, but it was asking to be done :D)
